Working together for inclusive health and ageing in the community

At its heart, diversity planning is a journey with the aim of making your service more inclusive. Your planning should be unique to your service.
This section will give you some tips and hints of where to begin.

Successful diversity planning starts with understanding your community. Who is in it, and are there barriers that these people face in accessing your services?

Then, if so, what are your priority actions to address this?

Once implemented, review – is it working? How can you continue to improve or extend your actions?

Don’t forget diversity planning is also about supporting diversity within your workforce.

It can be daunting to know where to start, so we’ve broken down the process into three steps to get you started on your diversity planning journey.
