The Social Determinants of Health, according to the World Health Organization, are primarily responsible for inequities in health. The social determinants of health are the conditions into which people are born, grow, work, live and age, and the wider set of forces and systems shaping the conditions of daily life1. Diverse characteristics of older people shape their daily lives, their lived experiences.
